Five reasons to play Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is a video game many fans of the Harry Potter franchise have been dreaming of for many years, and this game is one of the most popular games at the moment. This open-world action-RPG that sends players to Hogwarts as fifth-year students. However, the story is set in the 1800s and is a prequel to all the Harry Potter books and films. If you haven’t played this game yet, look at these reasons to drink in the magical experience of playing the Hogwarts Legacy. Spoiler: it will not be less thrilling than betting on or watching the original films about Harry, Ron, and Hermione!

Magical vibes

The open world map in the game, Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and other territories nail the vibe of the Wizarding World of J.K. Rowling, and the echoes of the original books are clear. The creators of the game have managed to create a magical atmosphere, and that is probably the main reason why people like Wizarding World so much. Just like in the original movies and the previous games, the pictures in Hogwarts move and talk, and you can also talk to the characters in many of the pictures, hippogriffs and pages of magic books fly in the sky, and acromantulas and unicorns live in the Forbidden Forest.

The abundance of detail allows you to imagine yourself in the shoes of Harry Potter, who was running away from the acromantula in the “Chamber of Secrets” and becoming a spectator to the unicorn murder in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”. There are also plenty of magical plants and potion ingredients to be found on the grounds surrounding Hogwarts.

You can craft your hero as you want

In this game, you can craft your hero from scratch, as expected in a full-fledged RPG. You can choose not only the appearance with certain facial features but also the gender of the character. The game also has a large selection of different outfits and accessories, from colorful classic magical robes to fancy masks and hats. There’s a Jester’s hat, a Death Eater’s mask, and generally lots of other curious and unusual items. Here are just some examples of Hogwarts Legacy Outfits – worn Quidditch uniform, bubotuber harvesting attire, and Dark Arts ensemble. The outfits give the Wizarding World vibes

The feel and look of Hogwarts are brilliantly captured in the game, it is overflowing with the tiniest of details. Students of Hogwarts go to lessons and talk to each other. Ghosts fly around the castle, pestering some of the students. As you walk down the corridor, you see dozens of different mini-scenes or hear dialogues not only from the children, but also from the pictures, and the armor placed in different corners, moving and making sounds, sometimes even moaning. You can even meet one of the characters from the Harry Potter books, the poltergeist Peeves, in the castle, who as usual pranks the students.

Room of Requirement

The developers paid a lot of attention to this room. After completing certain tasks, in the Room of Requirement, there will also be a portal to a separate zone-cage called Vivarium. There you can arrange your fauna and breed magical beasts. Once the animals have given birth, they will bring you resources that you can sell in the shops of Hogsmeade.

Challenging combat

Even though the set of spells in the game is not large (there are only over 20 learnable spells), they all will be useful one way or another, depending on the situation. And among them, there are some spells that we know from movies and previous games, such as Alohomora, Levioso, Lumos, Accio, and Petrificus Totalus.

Throughout the game, the player can learn many different techniques and combinations of spells for combat. For those who have always wanted to be evil wizards, there is also the opportunity to learn and cast all three Unforgivable Killing Curses, including Avada Kedavra. The combat system itself is simple and intuitive, but challenging.

To sum up, this game will let you live out Harry Potter fantasies in the form of a massive open-world game with many great options, casts, and side quests.
